About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Sell and service Coloplast implantable and single-use surgical devices to Urology customers
  • Engage targeted accounts and develop and execute strategic territory plans
  • Analyze sales and marketing data to identify territory opportunities
  • Understand customer environments, decision makers, issues, challenges, and opportunities
  • Advance the sales process and achieve or exceed product-line targets
  • Conduct financial business model and cost/benefit analyses
  • Use consultative selling to uncover customer strategy and present clinical and financial value
  • Plan daily call routines and account penetration
  • Use marketing tools, sales reports, educational materials, and national contracts to maximize sales growth
  • Monitor competitive activity and sales volume
  • Build and maintain long-term customer and cross-functional relationships
  • Retain and support current business by identifying opportunities and formulating sales strategies
  • Develop clinical and technical product knowledge and educate peers
  • Attend industry training, meetings, and events for business development
  • Interact with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, doctors, nurses, technicians, procurement, inventory control, and administrative staff
  • Provide case coverage and support healthcare professionals during procedures and surgeries while following operating room protocols
  • Organize information in CRM or related tools
  • Maintain sales records, reporting, forecasting, inventory, and expense management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience
  • Urology background and implantable device sales preferred
  • Experience in relationship and consultative selling skills
  • Experience in interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Experience in negotiating, analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • High attention for detail and follow through
  • Exceptional listening skills
  • Valid driver’s license required; driving is a requirement
  • Ability to work independently, with high initiative and results orientation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel overnight 30–50%
  • Effective time and territory management skills and administrative capabilities
  • Must complete healthcare facility or healthcare system credentialing requirements
  • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics, and company policies
