About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and expand relationships with mid-market employers with 750–5,000 employees
  • Drive new business and long-term partnerships
  • Identify, develop, and close opportunities across the territory from initial outreach to signed agreements
  • Deliver presentations advocating comprehensive cancer and condition management in employer health strategies
  • Collaborate with Consultant Relations, Marketing, Sales Development, and Ecosystem Partnerships on tailored proposals and deal closure
  • Maintain an accurate, forward-looking sales forecast through analysis of market trends, pipeline health, and competitive dynamics
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals and performance targets
  • Share market insights and competitive intelligence with leadership to inform strategy, product evolution, and go-to-market approaches
  • Represent Color at industry events and conferences
  • Partner with account management and customer success teams to ensure smooth handoffs, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and strengthen post-sale client relationships
  • Manage the full sales cycle as an individual contributor, including sourcing opportunities, guiding customers through complex decisions, nurturing relationships, and closing employer partner deals
  • Travel approximately 50%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7+ years of highly verticalized B2B sales focused on mid-market employers within the region
  • Deep understanding of the sales process and closing complex deals in a highly competitive market
  • Successful sales history and consistent 100% quota attainment for the past 3+ years
  • Experience closing deals valued at $500K+ to mid-market employers
  • Knowledge of customer and reporting requirements
  • Excellent cross-functional working skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently, sometimes with short notice
  • College degree; advanced degree a plus
  • Preferred that candidates reside within the specific territory
  • Unrestricted right to work in the United States for any employer
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience selling digital health, healthcare, or employee benefits solutions directly to mid-market employers
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle, including prospecting, developing opportunities, negotiating, and closing new employer business
  • Significant experience working with health benefits consultants or brokers to place solutions with employer clients
  • Experience selling to employers in ND, SD, WI, MN, NE, MO, IA, TN, KY, or KS
