About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical customer service and support during installation, commissioning, and servicing of palletizing equipment
  • Assist customers in person, by phone, or by email
  • Respond to service requests and troubleshoot problems on-site and remotely
  • Educate and train customers on equipment operation
  • Ensure proper electrical and mechanical installation
  • Support electricians, assemblers, and welding personnel during installation
  • Verify equipment operation and complete commissioning
  • Test local inputs, outputs, devices, control interlocks, and alarms
  • Meet production schedule and profitability commitments
  • Complete service trips safely, efficiently, and within allotted time
  • Support sales representatives with technical information and equipment upgrade recommendations
  • Recommend parts and maintenance actions
  • Document project requirements, job reports, expenses, project status, and on-site changes
  • Use CRM to manage customer relationships, service-trip reports, tasks, and status
  • Document customer needs and develop service metrics and resources
  • Provide after-hours technical support
  • Document processes, eliminate non-value-added activities, and participate in cross-functional continuous-improvement teams
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through networks, professional societies, workshops, and publications
  • Participate in SOP and SWI training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or vocational or technical school degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of CRM; D365 preferred
  • PLC troubleshooting, including program editing and network connections
  • Knowledge of RSLogix PLC code/programming
  • Knowledge of ControLogix PLC code/programming
  • Knowledge of PanelView Studio
  • Motion control knowledge
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
  • English language skills
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that does not meet high-risk-driver criteria
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Vancouver, WA 98661
  • Ability to work in industrial environments and use required PPE
  • Willingness to undergo customer-required drug and alcohol testing where applicable
