About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead hands-on engineering initiatives and mentor engineers
Design, build and evolve engineering platforms, developer tools and automated workflows across cloud, delivery pipelines, data and metrics
Establish reusable patterns, standards, guardrails and streamlined paths for safer software delivery
Champion responsible AI-powered engineering practices across coding, testing, documentation and delivery
Improve developer experience through self-service capabilities, reusable templates, standardised pipelines and automation
Partner with engineering teams to understand delivery challenges and bridge local needs with enterprise technology services
Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, governance and data teams to deliver secure, resilient solutions
Improve observability, reliability, performance and cost efficiency while addressing technical debt and risk

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on software engineering experience, including designing practical solutions, writing high-quality code and automating engineering workflows
Deep experience in one or more programming languages, with versatility across different languages and technology stacks
Experience designing, building and operating cloud-based software or engineering platforms, ideally using Amazon Web Services
Knowledge of infrastructure as code, continuous integration and delivery, observability, reliability engineering and secure software development
Experience with containers and runtime platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent technologies
Practical experience using AI-powered engineering tools for productivity, quality, testing, documentation or automation
Ability to explain complex technical concepts, influence decisions and guide teams through engineering change
Collaborative, adaptable and continuous-improvement mindset
Genuine interest in mentoring others and simplifying developer experience
