SharePoint Administrator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for SharePoint Online issues, service requests, and approved enhancements
- Administer and maintain SharePoint sites, hubs, pages, document libraries, lists, navigation, columns, content types, views, versioning, sharing settings, and site lifecycle activities
- Troubleshoot access, permissions, synchronization, search, indexing, document-library, sharing, Office integration, and user-experience issues
- Evaluate and improve SharePoint search and document discoverability
- Troubleshoot search schema, indexing, permissions, metadata, content organization, navigation, and configuration issues
- Provide input on Power Automate, Microsoft Teams integration, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Copilot readiness
- Provide one-on-one and group support to staff, site owners, content stewards, and SharePoint champions
- Develop and maintain user guides, quick-reference materials, FAQs, knowledge-base articles, and administrative documentation
- Monitor usage and support indicators to identify adoption barriers and continuous-improvement opportunities
- Mentor and transfer knowledge to strengthen the internal team's SharePoint administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on SharePoint Online administration experience in a production Microsoft 365 environment
- Experience configuring and supporting SharePoint sites, hubs, document libraries, lists, pages, navigation, permissions, content types, metadata, views, versioning, and search
- Experience troubleshooting SharePoint search, indexing, synchronization, sharing, access, and document-management issues
- Experience implementing information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, and governance standards
- Experience developing technical documentation, user guides, and role-based training materials
- Experience delivering individual and group training to technical and non-technical users
- Strong technical diagnostic, analytical, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to prioritize multiple operational and improvement activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical, administrative, clinical, operational, and leadership staff
- Ability to work as part of an internal team, document work clearly, share knowledge, and build sustainable internal capability
- Knowledge of HIPAA, information security, privacy, records management, and access-control principles preferred
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Power Automate required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Copilot preferred
