Support prospect identification, qualification, and pipeline development for the Global Philanthropic Engagement fundraising team
Research philanthropic donor prospects, analyzing philanthropic history, interests, network connections, and giving patterns
Conduct holistic wealth assessments to predict giving capacity
Analyze existing donor portfolios to optimize fundraising and identify untapped philanthropic capacity
Translate data into actionable insights for fundraising results
Produce research reports and donor profiles with clear insights and recommendations
Partner strategically with the fundraising team and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate donor research into campaigns and initiatives
Improve the organization's donor database and prospect management systems
Monitor research and fundraising industry trends, philanthropic developments, and prospect research best practices
Advocate for children's needs and uphold Compassion's ministry, cultural behaviors, prayer, and child protection commitments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Christ-follower who maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and consistently witnesses for Jesus Christ
Commitment to child protection considerations and compliance with Compassion's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, fundraising, data analytics, business intelligence)
Three+ years of experience in prospect research, donor research, fundraising intelligence, or related nonprofit, fundraising, or development roles
Robust analytical skills and ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High integrity and ethical conduct when handling sensitive donor information and maintaining confidentiality
Strong interpersonal and cross-departmental collaboration skills
Proficiency in fundraising CRMs, preferably Salesforce, and data visualization tools such as Tableau
Ability to use online databases and research tools such as WealthEngine and LexisNexis
Experience in a large-scale capital campaign or multi-year fundraising initiative preferred
Expertise in wealth analysis, donor profiling, and philanthropy trends preferred
