About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of customer contact and relationships based on Integrity Selling and Composites One core values
  • Maintain and grow sales revenue throughout the assigned territory by developing new business and expanding existing account relationships
  • Serve as a technical consultant and problem solver to customers
  • Meet or exceed Gross Profit Margin budget and maximize profitability within the assigned territory
  • Cultivate relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales revenue
  • Meet territory budget goals, including Sales and Gross Profit Margin
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify targets and project customer contacts
  • Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction, inventory needs, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding pricing, inventory, product quality, financial stability, and competition
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, developments, and field feedback to internal staff and customers
  • Build and maintain strategic customer and supplier relationships as a technical resource and solutions provider
  • Uncover new opportunities, convert competitive business, and increase product group share
  • Organize, grow, and protect sales in the assigned territory while managing resources and expenses to maximize ROI
  • Travel regularly throughout Western Michigan, including occasional overnight travel and customer meetings, events, and business activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in the Composites industry and/or industrial manufacturing environment OR minimum of 3 years of sales or customer service experience with a proven track record of sales success and/or technical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to learn internal database and software system
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Knowledge of composites markets
  • Solid sales aptitude and demonstrated ability to increase profits and market share
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn supplier products, processes, and strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive customer service focus
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Composite, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related industries preferred
  • Familiarity with CRMs preferred
  • Prior experience with SAP, Sales Cloud or Salesforce preferred
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background check
