Change & Release Management ITIL Specialist
Computacenter. Serve as the operational lead for Change and Release Management .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the operational lead for Change and Release Management
- Maintain working knowledge of and assist in delivering ITIL functions, including Asset Management, Change Management, and Release Management
- Oversee the lifecycle of software or infrastructure updates
- Conduct reviews, schedule, and authorize changes through a Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Coordinate build, testing, and deployment processes to ensure system stability and minimize downtime
- Review and authorize Requests for Change (RFCs) based on business value and risk
- Chair the CAB to evaluate major technical modifications
- Evaluate risks to service-environment integrity, including availability, performance, security, and compliance impacts
- Assess cross-system risks, dependencies, and potential impacts on live environments
- Maintain audit trails and documentation for corporate infrastructure modifications
- Plan and schedule release calendars across development, staging, and production environments
- Coordinate build, configuration, and quality-assurance testing phases before rollout
- Define deployment strategies, including blue-green or canary rollouts, and backup plans
- Manage post-release reviews to analyze performance and resolve deployment bottlenecks
- Ensure information and records-management policies and practices are followed and information is protected, available, accessible, and retrievable
- Manage adoption of release and deployment techniques, processes, and tools, including automation, application-management, dependency, versioning, and configuration-control tools
- Conduct post-release reviews to improve processes and procedures and keep stakeholders informed
- Partner with business leaders to deliver services aligned with company objectives and Winning Together values

Requirements
What you’ll need- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an enterprise IT, service management, or business environment
- Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes, including Asset, Change, and Release Management
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- ITIL certifications preferred
- Active U.S. Government security clearance preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Good knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office and MS Teams
- Good working knowledge and understanding of Change Enablement and Release Management
- Strong communication, decision making, proactive, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
- Good knowledge of the IT industry and understanding of IT technologies and products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good self-organization and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously
- Ability to build trust, be assertive when required, and show initiative and enthusiasm
