About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide the flow of physical technology products through the warehouse and Integration Center
  • Receive, cycle count, kit, inventory, pick, bench, un-bench, pack, ship, and manage assets
  • Perform pre-stage rack-and-stack activities
  • Program and configure automation programs as required by customers
  • Read rack elevations and rack and stack servers, network hardware, and accessories
  • Interpret cable matrices and lace cables port to port
  • Operate cable-labeling machines and apply labels according to customer standards
  • Track assets through completion of rack builds
  • Install memory, CPUs, expansion cards, modules, and other hardware components
  • Bench items for configuration and testing, including unboxing, labeling, powering up, and recording serial numbers
  • Repackage and retrieve items, update inventory status and location, and stage items for shipping
  • Pack project items into boxes or pallets, stretch-wrap them, and verify contents
  • Capture asset tags, serial numbers, MAC addresses, and other critical device information
  • Recommend improvements to customer designs for power and equipment load when necessary
  • Follow security and operational policies
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services aligned with company objectives and Winning Together values
  • Support Computacenter’s mission and core values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A+ and/or CCNA Data Center Certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with rack fabrication
  • Able to meet physical requirements including standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, lifting up to 50 pounds, using pallet jacks, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, balancing, and fine finger dexterity
  • Able to read and understand rack elevation and cable matrix documentation
  • Able to plan and prioritize challenging projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently and with peers
  • Able to adapt to rapid change
  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications including Windows, Microsoft Office, OSX, and Salesforce
