About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with key strategic managed service customers as the primary technical point of contact for governance, strategy, and innovation
- Build influential customer relationships and guide customer strategy to become a trusted advisor
- Represent Computacenter technically at customer technical, service review, and project review boards
- Input into strategic investments to meet future customer demand
- Act as the technical point of contact across the infrastructure environment for Computacenter and customer stakeholders
- Ensure technology infrastructure is supportable in line with technical standards, processes, and Computacenter capability
- Track and communicate technology debt, risks, issues, and opportunities through a Lifecycle Roadmap
- Make recommendations to improve stability
- Transform business drivers, risks, capabilities, and technology evolution into a customer journey through a Service Evolution Roadmap
- Translate complex technical details, service requirements, and operational constraints into actionable language for customers, service teams, sales, pre-sales, and leadership stakeholders
- Provide architectural governance of projects and ensure managed service requirements are adhered to
- Review proposed solutions for operational readiness, supportability, technical risk, impact, and alignment with Computacenter capabilities
- Govern and control account technical deliverables
- Own architectural deliverables
- Partner with business leaders to deliver services supporting company objectives
- Support Computacenter’s mission and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizen / security vetted / legally eligible to work in the United States
- Degree in information technology, business, related field, or equivalent experience
- Managed Services experience of five years or more preferred
- Datacentre environment and/or Workplace Management experience, preferably with 3 or more current/relevant technologies and their business application
- Experience working within a large organisation with more than 1000 IT users
- Strong knowledge of the IT industry and understanding of IT operations, technologies and products
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
- Proactive mindset
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries and at different levels where English is not the first spoken language
- Ability to present to large internal and external audiences from technical to senior leadership level
- Ability to build trust, be assertive when required, and show initiative and enthusiasm
- Resilience and ability to deal with stressful situations
- Business and financial acumen with strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Understanding of product supply chains
