About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead teams working across delivery, sales, and solutions units to ensure access to the right resources, skills, and services
- Develop and implement strategies for effective resource allocation across projects
- Forecast resource needs and plan to meet project deadlines and client expectations
- Lead and mentor a team of resource managers
- Identify and implement process improvements, including technology and tools
- Develop and maintain resource management reports and dashboards for senior leadership
- Monitor and manage the resource management budget
- Own cost planning and P&L responsibility for Partner & Resource Management
- Streamline processes and workflows, identifying automation, standardization, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure optimal utilization of Professional Services employees across headcount, skills, and regions
- Work with the partner network to augment Professional Services capability
- Serve as the primary escalation point for resourcing and partner-related risks and issues
- Develop and implement the Partner & Resource Management vision, strategy, methodology, tools, governance, and project controls
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional development
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
- Maintain governance and due diligence, including increasing Resource Management services delivered from nearshore and offshore locations
- Drive standardized ways of working across the organization
- Support Computacenter’s mission and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional Services expertise at a senior level within an IT organization
- Proven track record of successfully developing and inspiring others and engendering followership
- Strong decision-making abilities with extensive leadership experience and high self-awareness
- Experience running multi-geographic teams and driving adoption of near and offshore delivery locations
- Experience managing cross-cultural teams
- Experience working at a strategic level to enable a division to perform effectively
- Good knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office, and MS Teams
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
- Good knowledge of the IT industry and understanding of IT technologies and products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language
- Good self-organization and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously
- Ability to build trust, be assertive when required, and show initiative and enthusiasm
