About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for software licenses, SaaS platforms, cloud services, and hardware infrastructure
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, volume discounts, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with technology vendors
Review vendor terms and identify and mitigate commercial, legal, and data security risks with legal and information security teams
Monitor actual IT spend against planned budgets and identify continuous cost-saving opportunities
Partner with internal IT, engineering, and finance teams to forecast technology needs and streamline purchasing requirements
Track vendor delivery, performance KPIs, and license renewals

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 to 10 years of tactical or strategic procurement experience
Core focus on IT commodities, including hardware, software, and SaaS
Familiarity with software licensing models, including per user, enterprise, and consumption-based cloud
Knowledge of IT infrastructure components
Experience with ERP/procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba
Advanced data analysis skills in Excel
Exceptional negotiation abilities
Cross-functional communication skills
Analytical problem-solving abilities
