About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide walk-up support to end users through the onsite TechBar service
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, operating system and application-related incidents
  • Provide IT guidance, advice and how-to support to users
  • Install, configure and re-install software and applications to resolve incidents and requests
  • Complete software-related service requests in line with agreed service levels
  • Deploy and configure standard desktop and laptop builds
  • Perform image reloads and device rebuilds following hardware or software failure
  • Resolve issues requiring physical, hands-on intervention
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding activities, including joiners and leavers processes
  • Provide mobile device support and troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, requests and resolutions
  • Deliver a professional and customer-focused service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in an IT support, service desk, desktop support or technical support role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, desktop applications and end-user devices
  • Experience supporting software installations, configurations and device deployments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and standard workplace productivity tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple support requests effectively
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Experience supporting mobile devices would be advantageous
