About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct the planning, coordination, implementation, execution, and management of medium, large, and complex projects
- Focus on project management activities during pre-sales and early post-sales phases of large-scale engagements
- Contribute to PMO strategy, standards, tools, processes, and methodologies
- Coach and mentor less experienced Project Managers and Project Coordinators
- Partner with customers, sales, delivery practices, PMO teams, and internal business leaders
- Investigate, analyze, and remediate issues and risks in strategic accounts
- Lead projects through the full lifecycle from initiation to closure
- Manage project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budgets, schedules, trackers, and timelines
- Coordinate internal, external, and third-party project resources
- Track deliverables, tasks, risks, issues, actions, and project documentation
- Drive accountability for budget, schedule, project results, and client satisfaction
- Communicate project expectations, status, scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders
- Coordinate product issues including software licensing, shipment logistics, damaged products, and shipment changes
- Provide status reporting and escalate significant project risks and issues
- Maintain accurate timecards, expense reports, status reports, project plans, trackers, and documentation in company systems
- Obtain client sign-off on project completion
- Perform invoicing, project closure, and customer satisfaction survey follow-up
- Conduct mid-project checks and after-action meetings for continual improvement
- Turn around projects that are not meeting quality expectations
- Facilitate project forensics and identify systemic issues on strategic accounts

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in Project Management within the IT industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Expert knowledge of theoretical and practical project management
- Expert knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Direct work experience in a project management capacity
- Experience coaching and mentoring
- Excellent customer interfacing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven meeting facilitation experience
- Proven people management experience
- Proven issue and risk management experience
- Proficiency in project management software
- Strong knowledge of technical concepts, terms, and practices used in assessing and implementing IT Infrastructure and Services
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to motivate and build strong teams
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently
- Ability to work independently and with peers
- Ability to problem-solve and perform analysis
- Smartsheet proficiency is a plus
- PMP and/or PRINCE2 certification is a plus
