About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a large team within the Technology Sourcing and Innovation (TSI) functional area
- Provide advisory support to peer groups, customers, and direct reports
- Manage, develop, and coach team members
- Implement performance management solutions where required
- Provide full line-management responsibility for direct reports
- Assess situations, issues, and opportunities and escalate when appropriate
- Act as an escalation point for complex or serious issues and complaints
- Provide appropriate support to other team members
- Maintain confidentiality in business-related matters
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practice and continual service improvement
- Establish productive operational relationships and networks to build and maintain customer relationships
- Drive adoption of Computacenter best practices and service offerings
- Follow Computacenter Information Security Policies and report potential or actual security events and risks
- Support Computacenter's mission and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a people management role
- Experience working in a challenging commercial environment
- Good working knowledge of relevant functional systems
- Experience developing best practice policies and procedures for functional area
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language
- Good self-organization and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously
- Ability to build trust, be assertive when required, and show initiative and enthusiasm
- Resilience and ability to deal with stressful situations
- Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills
- Commercially astute
- Ability to act both independently and as part of a team
- Initiative to develop and expand knowledge
- Computacenter experience in internal processes, systems, tools, and platforms
