About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across US and international entities
Maintain the integrity of ComputerCare’s financial data and provide timely, GAAP-compliant financial information to leadership
Review results, billing, and key controls to identify errors and anomalies
Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices
Record and apply customer payments and credit memos; research unapplied payments and credit balances
Coordinate refunds and account adjustments
Respond to billing inquiries and reconcile customer account balances
Monitor AR aging and support collections activities
Administer sales tax, maintain exemption certificates, prepare reconciliations, and coordinate filings
Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations
Complete monthly close tasks and assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
Maintain fixed asset records and record depreciation, payroll, benefits, and related accruals
Support accounts payable, expense reports, corporate card reconciliations, 1099 preparation, and external tax preparation
Learn and transition processes from the external accounting firm
Document and implement procedures and controls
Partner with the CEO, Fractional CFO, COO, and operations leaders

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on customer invoicing, customer account maintenance, and accounts receivable
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Working knowledge of sales tax administration, including sales tax account reconciliations, exemption certificates, and coordination of return preparation and filing
Understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and the monthly close process
Demonstrated curiosity and ownership mindset
Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to research and resolve account discrepancies
Clear, professional communication skills and comfort coordinating billing and collections with customers and internal teams
Ability to manage recurring deadlines and take on additional responsibilities as the department develops
Experience with NetSuite preferred
Unrestricted right to work in the United States, including natural citizens and Green Card holders
