About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive, steer and achieve strong business growth within the North America region
  • Lead a team of Business Development professionals and Sales Managers
  • Determine and deliver a strong new-revenue budget
  • Formulate and deploy long-term business development strategies, including identifying target clients
  • Drive revenue growth by positioning services to future clients through multiple channels
  • Lead high-level negotiations with high-profile target clients, including contracts, pricing and agreement terms
  • Conduct short- and long-term market research through advisors, clients, prospective clients, industry events, organizations and market data
  • Recruit and manage the Business Development team
  • Develop strategic relationships with key market participants to secure new business
  • Oversee prospect relationships and ensure quality of major pitches and negotiations
  • Steer and support product-offering development
  • Follow governance and management controls, including Deal Review, Contract Engagement, Pricing Models and Sales Commissions
  • Adhere to relevant internal and regulatory controls
  • Ensure appropriate handover of new clients to Client Solutions, Onboarding, Relationship Management and Account Management teams
  • Follow up on account performance and client satisfaction
  • Drive performance against the target new-revenue budget
  • Provide effective leadership and management of the Business Development function

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Employee Share Plans sector in senior positions
  • Business-to-business sales management or relationship management experience
  • Successful sales experience
  • Experience working with major global companies in sales or relationship management
  • Strong verbal skills and ability to present successfully to senior management at prospects
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong judgment skills to determine how and where to focus sales-force effort
  • Experience leading a team of highly skilled, experienced relationship management or sales professionals
  • Strong knowledge or experience with technical sales, financial products and/or operational services
  • Ability to lead complex, high-value negotiations with global corporate customers
  • Experience with market research and using MI to manage the business
  • Deep knowledge of Employee Share Plans, industry and services
  • Advanced technical skills for presentations, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • English required
  • German, French, Swedish or other European languages helpful (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the Employee Share Plans industry preferred
  • Marketing skills preferred
