About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and manage moderately complex deals, including actively managed portfolios with daily, time-sensitive activity
- Ensure portfolio and trade activity is processed accurately, timely, and according to client instructions and contractual agreements
- Update cash and asset positions daily in internal systems and reconcile them with clients
- Establish client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for issues and business needs
- Investigate and respond to client inquiries using product knowledge and complex legal-document interpretation
- Liaise with deal stakeholders and internal or external parties to resolve trade, funding, asset transaction, and reporting issues
- Act as an escalation point for junior Portfolio Services Managers
- Review other team members’ work and provide feedback
- Train less experienced Portfolio Services Managers on core systems and processes
- Assist with contract review and negotiation focused on operational requirements
- Participate in closing and setting up new deals according to governing documents and departmental procedures
- Recommend process improvements and servicing enhancements
- Participate in client, deal, and departmental projects, including system design, user acceptance testing, and implementation
- Monitor market changes and translate them into value-adding services
- Support risk management in line with risk policy, framework, and appetite
- Attend industry conferences and events as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of Corporate Trust, Financial Services, Account Management, or Structured Finance
- A four-year degree or military experience may offset one year of required experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Corporate Trust experience preferred
- Relationship/Account Management experience preferred
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and instruct others
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex legal documents
- Strong math aptitude
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Solid PC skills, including proficiency with MS Excel
- Ability to work in a high-pressure and time-sensitive environment
- Customer service focus and experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
