About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, coordinate, and process IRS and State levies
  • Manage IRS B-Notices and C-Notices, including issuing notices, conducting follow-up activities, and maintaining records
  • Review, investigate, and respond to IRS Civil Penalties
  • Manage tax compliance workflow queues and tax-related inquiries
  • Support Form W-9 and W-8 processing, backup withholding, non-resident alien withholding, and federal and state reporting obligations
  • Ensure compliance with IRS and state reporting requirements and applicable regulations
  • Resolve balancing items, exceptions, discrepancies, and compliance issues
  • Collaborate with Client Services, Tax Reporting, and other internal teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects
  • Escalate complex issues as appropriate
  • Participate in weekly Tax Compliance Management meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of IRS tax compliance requirements and reporting obligations
  • Knowledge of W-9/W-8 forms, backup withholding, IRS notices, and levies preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Understanding of how Tax Compliance supports departmental and business objectives
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams such as Client Services and Tax Reporting
  • Awareness of IRS and State regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and respond to inquiries professionally
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Applicants must not require work visa sponsorship
