About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver Cyberspace Operations training to Department of Defense personnel at the Center for Information Warfare Training, Corry Station, Pensacola, Florida
  • Provide highly technical instruction in a military training environment through lectures, labs, exercises, and other delivery methods
  • Assist with developing Cyberspace Operations training curriculum, including lecture content, student/instructor guides, tests, exercises, and simulations
  • Conduct hands-on virtual laboratory exercises, study hall periods, and tutoring/remedial instruction
  • Evaluate student proficiency in each topic area
  • Deliver interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning activities
  • Review and analyze training materials and recommend changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide classroom instruction consistent with the Program of Instruction
  • Ability to conduct hands-on exercises in a virtual laboratory environment, study hall periods, and tutoring/remedial instruction for up to twenty students per class
  • Ability to clearly convey technical concepts during instruction
  • Ability to evaluate students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to deliver interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning activities
  • Ability to review and analyze training materials and recommend changes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level
  • Experience in adult learning, with emphasis on instructing large classes
  • US Military instructor certification or designation highly desirable, such as a teaching certificate, certified professional instructor, master training specialist, or adjunct faculty certification
  • Intermediate-level knowledge or experience in one or more relevant cyberspace operations areas, including programming/scripting, operating systems, networking, protocol analysis, wireless/mobile technologies, SIGINT analysis, offensive cyberspace operations, network defense, forensics, and malware analysis
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus two (2) years of experience in Cyberspace Operations, or four (4) years of Cyberspace Operations experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
  • Illegal drug use, including marijuana, is disqualifying under federal adjudicative guidelines and DoD DFARS requirements
