About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the initial escalation point for technical issues involving hardware, software, and network infrastructure
  • Maintain, configure, and optimize desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other corporate systems
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and software licensing for security and compliance
  • Lead deployment of new hardware and software from procurement through user training and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on upgrades, migrations, and technology implementations
  • Develop and maintain documentation for common issues, system configurations, and best practices
  • Train junior staff and end users
  • Assist with IT asset management and coordinate with external vendors for procurement, repairs, and support
  • Work with vendors to establish and monitor routine label-printer maintenance schedules
  • Participate in a monthly on-call rotation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or system administration within a medium-to-large corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and macOS, Linux, Active Directory, Office 365, and enterprise networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
  • Experience with remote management tools
  • Proven ability to resolve complex, multi-layered technical challenges under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including translating technical jargon for non-technical staff
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Desktop and laptop PC imaging, setup, deployment, and repair
  • Remote user support using Teams and remote management software
  • Application support, including installation, repair, and updates for Office 365
  • Windows 10 and 11 installation, repair, and updates
  • Linux familiarity
  • Active Directory OU, user inquiries, and password troubleshooting/change
  • Local and network printer setup, deployment, and repair
  • iOS and Android mobile device procurement, setup, and deployment
  • Label printer procurement, setup, file design and maintenance, and service agreement renewals
  • Basic network connectivity knowledge, including patch cables, data port activation, cross-connects, and wireless connections
  • IT hardware asset inventory, decommissioning, and disposal
  • RSA/MFA/DUP hardware and software token account assignment and activation
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCP, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are a significant plus
