About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in applications developed using Go and React/TypeScript under senior engineer guidance
Develop, execute, and maintain software tests
Participate in application patching cycles, software releases, and ongoing sustainment activities
Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to support production applications and resolve technical issues
Transition into the team's on-call support rotation following onboarding and training
Contribute to a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War customer
Support modernization toward a unified platform with single sign-on and centralized work environment
Maintain existing applications to ensure operational stability
Work in two-week sprints with customer demonstrations at the end of each sprint
Travel 0–10% within the Washington, DC metropolitan area

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ years of backend software engineering experience using Go (Golang); OR 2+ years of backend development experience in another strongly typed programming language, with demonstrated Go projects
Experience with PostgreSQL preferred
Familiarity with container technologies preferred
Active Secret security clearance preferred
U.S. citizenship required
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance
Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Ability to work core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern
Ability to work at approved remote locations within the United States and on-site at government facilities in Northern Virginia and Maryland as required
