About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead large-scale data migrations between enterprise systems
Perform data profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation
Design and build repeatable, auditable migration pipelines
Create comprehensive validation reporting and rollback capabilities
Execute trial migrations
Identify and resolve data-quality issues with data owners
Support production cutover activities
Document data lineage, migration methodologies, and key decisions
Support audit requirements, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff
Work in two-week sprints with a customer demonstration each sprint

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience in data engineering
Participation in at least two production data migrations
Advanced SQL expertise with PostgreSQL and at least one commercial relational database
Hands-on experience with ETL tools or Python scripting for data transformation and validation
Experience working with AWS GovCloud, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), or comparable migration tools (preferred)
Familiarity with records-retention requirements (preferred)
Active Secret security clearance (strongly preferred)
U.S. citizenship required
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance
Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday with core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern
Ability to work on-site at Government facilities in Northern Virginia and Maryland as required
Travel of 0–10% within the Washington, DC metropolitan area
