About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform diagnostic tests of patients' cardiovascular systems to aid providers in diagnosing and treating heart disorders
- Assist providers with stress exams
- Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) and manage ECG data
- Prepare and educate patients about procedures and expectations
- Administer medications
- Apply and scan Holter and ZioPatch exams
- Manage time and workload fluctuations
- Observe and communicate changes in signs and symptoms to providers
- Document and maintain patient and test data
- Complete billing for tests performed
- Utilize and maintain departmental and hospital equipment
- Complete departmental and hospital requirements
- Participate in departmental, team, and committee goals
- Take ownership of individual performance goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some additional training beyond high school in the area of basic arrhythmia; less than an Associate's Degree
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification
- Medical Technician registration with the NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians
- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification required within 2 years and maintained thereafter
- Related clinical experience of 6 to 12 months minimum
- Some cardiac monitoring experience
- Ability to meet the stated physical, sensory, and environmental work requirements
