About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the HR function by aligning departmental goals with Concordance Healthcare Solutions’ strategic objectives
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to support business needs and workforce development
  • Advise managers and employees on complex HR matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and compliance
  • Oversee leave programs including FMLA, ADA, Short/Long-Term Disability, and USERRA
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and manage the interactive ADA process
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
  • Monitor legal developments and lead continuous improvement efforts
  • Ensure documentation, tracking, and data integrity across leave and compliance programs
  • Oversee performance management, employee engagement, talent development, and promotion processes
  • Analyze trends and make data-driven recommendations
  • Oversee employee relations investigations and corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver HR and compliance training
  • Support audits, compliance reporting, and internal metrics
  • Serve as backup for Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Insurance management
  • Collaborate with legal, payroll, and benefits teams
  • Represent HR in company meetings, initiatives, and strategic planning
  • Lead or participate in HR projects improving efficiency, compliance, and employee satisfaction
  • Stay current on industry best practices and propose enhancements
  • Perform additional HR duties and initiatives supporting organizational goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable employment laws preferred
  • Proven track record in managing confidential information and sensitive employee situations with discretion
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, solve problems, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS and payroll systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening
  • Willing to travel to all Concordance locations, depending on business needs
  • Candidates must reside within the Ohio geographic region and be able to meet the position's required in-office schedule, travel expectations, and other job-related responsibilities
