About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Turn CEO and company priorities into clear organizational action
  • Map the current organization and define roles, reporting lines, and decision-making ownership
  • Build an organizational plan that scales with company growth
  • Design and launch the first performance review process, including goal-setting, feedback cycles, and career leveling
  • Partner with leaders on hiring plans, role definitions, and succession
  • Own and oversee the recruiting engine, including internal and external recruiters
  • Personally drive critical searches
  • Align hiring with budget and business priorities in partnership with finance
  • Build fair, competitive, and sustainable compensation frameworks
  • Design meeting and planning cadences to improve team alignment and decision-making
  • Shape culture and engagement practices during company growth
  • Establish channels to understand employee experience
  • Implement essential people policies, tools, and systems
  • Work directly with the CEO to impact the company’s people, culture, and operating system

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–7 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, investing, strategy & operations, or an exceptional high-growth startup
  • Extremely high ownership, judgment, and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills and comfort working directly with senior executives
  • Excitement about recruiting, talent, and building organizations while thinking fundamentally as a business operator
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving environments with high expectations and significant responsibility
  • Comfortable working hybrid in the NYC office 3 days per week
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must indicate whether future sponsorship will be required
