About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day customer service contact for assigned national accounts
  • Enter, manage, and monitor customer orders with a high degree of accuracy
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability, backorders, ETAs, and allocations
  • Resolve order issues, returns, claims, and other customer service concerns
  • Maintain accurate account information, documentation, and activity within D365 and CRM systems
  • Coordinate pricing exceptions, promotions, and special programs
  • Develop relationships with buyers, managers, and sales staff for assigned accounts
  • Respond to product questions and provide recommendations across brass, woodwind, and percussion brands
  • Drive awareness and recommendation of Conn Selmer products among assigned dealer accounts
  • Support new product launches, promotions, and sales initiatives
  • Plan and coordinate monthly Conn Selmer product training with product management
  • Identify opportunities to improve product knowledge, sales engagement, and brand visibility
  • Prepare account analyses, opportunity summaries, and sales-support materials
  • Follow up on opportunities and action items from dealer meetings, trade shows, and account interactions
  • Monitor sales trends and identify account opportunities, challenges, and risks
  • Provide information and insights to the National Accounts Manager to support account strategy and growth
  • Assist with special projects and programs designed to grow assigned national accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or a related role
  • Experience in the music products industry or music retail is strongly preferred
  • Experience with school band and percussion instruments is a plus
  • Strong product knowledge, or the demonstrated ability to quickly develop expertise, across brass, woodwind, and percussion products
  • Comfortable presenting products and information to a sales team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with D365, CRM systems, or similar business software
  • Requires periods of sedentary work, daily standing and walking
  • Requires repetitive upper body movement – keyboard and monitor use
  • Visual and hearing acuity
