About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide electrical supervision and technical oversight to field-based engineers and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, industry regulations, and Health & Safety requirements
  • Oversee electrical activities across project delivery and operations, including planned and reactive maintenance
  • Ensure work complies with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and company standards
  • Review, audit, and approve EICs, EICRs, and Minor Works Certificates
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Provide technical electrical support and advice to clients, contractors, field engineers, and internal teams
  • Deliver training, coaching, and mentorship to engineers and employees
  • Maintain records of inspections, certifications, completed works, materials, and project progress
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks
  • Carry out inspection, testing, commissioning, and certification of electrical systems and equipment
  • Support on-site equipment commissioning and provide remote technical assistance, including communication with CK operating systems
  • Test and verify electrical components and systems
  • Investigate and resolve electrical issues and support field teams
  • Report, document, and escalate accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances
  • Support the Operations team with specialist electrical expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in an electrical supervisory role or similar position
  • Strong electrical knowledge and ability to read and interpret electrical certificates
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience managing teams effectively
  • Strong project management abilities, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment and promote best practices
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and proactive mindset
  • Solid administrative capabilities and attention to detail
  • Well-organised and methodical approach
  • Effective prioritisation and forward planning skills
  • Strong customer service and client-facing background
  • Fully qualified electrician with experience in highway, commercial, and domestic sectors
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
  • 18th Edition
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection
  • EV qualifications 2391 or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience as a qualified electrician
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, standard PC applications, and Electrical Certification Software
  • Full clean valid UK driving licence; proof of zero penalties and no previous convictions essential
  • Understanding of industry governance and compliance
  • EV car charging experience preferred but not essential
  • Comfortable with basic charger software setup and IT equipment; training provided if required
  • Experience with data cabling, GSM, and metering advantageous
