About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive clinical cost reduction and better patient outcomes as Clinical Champion of Connecticut Children's Value Analysis Program
  • Organize and manage all Value Analysis Committees
  • Assess financial, clinical, operational, and evidence-based literature to select, evaluate, monitor, analyze, and implement cost-effective products, services, and processes
  • Provide Value Analysis data and information by investigating new or alternative products and services
  • Coordinate clinical evaluation trials with clinical partners
  • Conduct evidence-based research on product and vendor information
  • Establish criteria for measuring clinical efficacy and outcomes for each evaluation
  • Facilitate rollout of Value Analysis Committee decisions, including new products, product conversions, and standardization actions
  • Track decisions, cost savings, and spending using a tracking tool
  • Maintain Product Evaluation/Value Analysis policies and procedures
  • Monitor healthcare technology, regulatory, and operational trends affecting product utilization
  • Identify appropriate product substitutions during shortages
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Support the organization's mission, values, and goals through behaviors consistent with Connecticut Children's standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • 3–5 years related experience in a pediatric facility
  • Current professional nursing license in Connecticut required
  • Operating Room experience or Critical Care nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to review and analyze data to drive decision-making using Microsoft Excel, Word, and appropriate tools
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, strategic planning, self-motivation, and ownership
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, ethical conduct, initiative, creativity, flexibility, accountability, and teamwork
