About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work under minimal supervision of the applicable Manager of Product Management.
  • Increase sales in the funded partner and/or partner’s specific practice area by working with Sales teams and Sales management.
  • Identify solution opportunities through book of business reviews.
  • Develop focus accounts, including under-penetrated, inactive, or declining accounts.
  • Identify net new customer opportunities using data analysis.
  • Participate in customer calls to identify, develop, and close opportunities where applicable.
  • Collaborate with partners and field teams to target specific accounts.
  • Monitor and participate in special pricing programs and maximize deal registration opportunities.
  • Create sales enablement programs using front-end pricing knowledge to drive backend profitability.
  • Maintain the opportunity pipeline from design through deployment.
  • Drive partner promotions and programs with Sales teams.
  • Collaborate on business development and communications with Sales teams.
  • Strategize with Sales management on tactics to grow the business segment and practice area.
  • Track plan progress and discuss successful tactics with Sales and Sales management.
  • Maximize partner programs and profitability by understanding backend programs.
  • Maintain technology knowledge and achieve or maintain certifications.
  • Attend industry and manufacturer training.
  • Complete partner certifications through assigned online or onsite training.
  • Assist in creating and presenting technical training to selling organizations.
  • Coach Sales teams on practice-area technologies.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Cisco WebEx and relevant internal business systems.
  • IT aptitude with strong desire to continually learn and apply latest technologies.
  • Working knowledge of partner specific technology.
  • Working knowledge of respective practice area technologies and related product solutions.
  • High aptitude to stay current and train on related technology areas.
  • Account planning skills with experience in up-sell and cross-sell strategies.
  • Articulate with ability to clearly inform, educate and demonstrate the value proposition to the customer.
  • Adept at providing IT solutions based on customer needs.
  • Proven experience managing projects and delivering expectations, both internally and with clients.
  • Action oriented with strong executional skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills with ability to collaborate with sales teams and to engage customers.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Excellent time management skills.
