About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage project requirements, timelines, and technical integrations from external platforms into Connection’s core systems or through its EDI platform
Support new or revised systems, API, cXML, and EDI integrations with customers and suppliers
Gather requirements for new business solutions from internal customers and stakeholders
Identify systems, platform, and business process improvements for internal and external customers and suppliers
Gather and document business requirements and convert them into functional specifications
Document quality assurance steps for development engineers and QA Analysts
Map EDI requirements, identify or create test data, and shepherd integration testing through production implementation
Understand business needs and identify opportunities through joint analysis of systems and processes
Drive development of new systems and integrated processes with external customers and Information Technology project teams
Produce Agile SDLC artifacts, including requirements, specifications, process maps, project plans, mockups, and test cases
Perform root cause analysis of difficult problems and solutions
Understand and communicate interdependencies among systems
Resolve issues or escalate risks to management
Manage customer change requests submitted to the Helpdesk
Support Development in organizing work within an Agile/Scrum environment
Support Quality Assurance with unit and regression testing
Work with customers to support systems integrations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
In-depth knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML), EDI documents (including 810, 850, 855, 856, etc.), and mapping, troubleshooting, and testing EDI documents with trading partners, or in-depth API experience with GET, POST, PATCH, DELETE and comparing JSON output to relational databases
Ability to present to diverse audiences, including customers, partners, and management
Experience distilling customer requirements into technical specifications for EDI integrations
Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards EnterpriseOne preferred
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of Agile requirement hierarchy and user-story writing
Understanding of business processes in a distribution business environment
Working knowledge of software bug tracking/reporting best practices and tools
Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems
Understanding of the business impact of technology problems
Excellent written communication skills and ability to compose professional business communications
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to present professional demonstrations
Experience working with business customers and application developers
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and SaaS-based business applications preferred
Prior experience in supply chain, finance, or e-commerce integration projects preferred
Experience with Boomi EDI/B2B management or other integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Informatica preferred
Practical experience in Technology Resell, B2B, or eCommerce industry preferred
MBA or MS in Information Systems highly desired
Project Management and Process Improvement training desired
