About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead cross-functional projects with medium to high complexity
- Establish and manage project requirements, deliverables, schedules, scope, budgets, and quality standards
- Manage two or more concurrent projects
- Develop project plans covering schedules, resources, and budgets
- Collaborate with resource managers, lead team members, Finance, and executives
- Coordinate project teams to identify issues, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Design strategies to mitigate or avoid future risks
- Monitor project quality and ensure deliverables meet contracts or specifications
- Compile and distribute project information, status reports, and portfolio budget expenditures
- Continuously improve organizational project management processes and standards
- Interact with senior managers, executives, and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives
- Contribute to internal working groups and department initiatives
- Mentor and train other Project Team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or 7 years of professional experience
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager
- 1-3 years managing client-facing healthcare IT implementation projects
- Experience in heavily regulated industries such as the financial sector may be considered
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification recommended
- Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
- Solid working knowledge of project management methodologies such as agile/scrum
- Ability to manage concurrent project activities across 2 business lines
- Beginner’s knowledge of project management
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet
- Experience in project management monitoring, addressing changes in scope and budget, project resourcing, and applicable computer software
- Ability to establish project goals and objectives, make critical decisions, analyze complex information, develop issue-resolution plans, negotiate, facilitate, identify project risks and gaps, prepare reports, communicate effectively, and mentor others
- Ability to work with direct and indirect supervision
- Willingness or ability to travel to conferences, trade events, and customer locations up to 25%
- Compliance with company and client policies, business rules, ethics, applicable laws, and SOC1, SOC2, PCI, and HIPAA requirements
