About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute integrated external communications strategies supporting business objectives
- Lead brand-aligned content development, including press releases, thought leadership, executive messaging, website and social media content, client-facing materials, and campaign assets
- Maintain consistent brand voice, visual standards, and messaging frameworks
- Manage media and public relations activities, press outreach, media inquiries, spokesperson preparation, agencies, and vendors
- Oversee the company’s digital presence across website, social media, email, and marketing channels
- Use analytics and performance data to improve communications reach and engagement
- Coordinate executive participation in conferences, trade shows, speaking engagements, and industry events
- Develop and lead internal communications strategies and executive communications
- Partner with HR and senior leadership on employee engagement, culture, recognition, and organizational initiatives
- Provide communications and brand leadership for executive offsites, leadership meetings, corporate events, Board meetings, and industry conferences
- Lead event communications, executive messaging, presentation content, and attendee engagement strategies
- Provide onsite support for high-profile events and engagements when appropriate
- Provide strategic oversight of event budgets, vendors, and external partners
- Lead, mentor, and develop a marketing and communications team
- Establish priorities, performance expectations, quality standards, and workload balance
- Partner with the VP of Brand & Corporate Communications on department strategy, planning, and budgeting
- Translate business priorities into integrated marketing and communications plans with objectives, timelines, and success measures
- Manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously
- Coordinate cross-functionally with executive leadership, operations, legal, finance, HR, and external partners
- Maintain planning tools, communications calendars, processes, and standards
- Track performance against objectives and budgets
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
- 10–15+ years of progressively responsible marketing and communications experience, including internal and external communications
- Experience leading, managing, mentoring, or providing strategic guidance to others
- Experience supporting executive meetings, leadership offsites, corporate events, and/or Board of Directors meetings from a communications, brand, content, or strategic leadership perspective
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop clear, polished, brand-aligned content for multiple audiences and channels
- Ability to develop communications strategy and translate business priorities into effective messaging, campaigns, and communications plans
- Strong project management skills
- Experience providing strategic communications and brand oversight for executive meetings, events, and other high-profile initiatives
- Demonstrated judgment and discretion with confidential, sensitive, or executive-level information
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Familiarity with digital, social media, email marketing, and web content platforms
