About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain relationships with assigned on-premise accounts such as bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
- Increase product availability in draft and package formats, drive sales, increase brand visibility, and enhance consumer loyalty for the Constellation Beer portfolio.
- Develop and manage key on-premise account relationships within the assigned territory.
- Achieve sales targets and distribution goals by securing new placements and increasing volume at existing accounts.
- Conduct regular account visits to ensure product placement, stock rotation, and POS material execution.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand CBI’s market presence.
- Execute on-premise strategies and key sales priorities across assigned accounts.
- Plan and execute events, samplings, staff trainings, and promotions.
- Educate account staff and consumers about Constellation products and selling points.
- Activate marketing programs and brand activations.
- Secure distribution for new innovations and execute support plans to drive trial, awareness, and consumer feedback.
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and consumer preferences and report findings to sales leadership.
- Provide recaps and reporting on sales activities, account and consumer feedback, and event outcomes.
- Collaborate with local sales teams and distributor partners.
- Maintain accurate records of sales calls, account activity, activation feedback, expenses, and market activity.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and distributor work-withs.
- Represent Constellation at local industry events, festivals, promotions, and trade shows.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience is preferred.
- Approximately 1 year of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Must be at least 21 years or age.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check is required as a condition of employment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the desire to be a passionate brand ambassador.
- Computer literacy with advanced use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to utilize business information reporting and sales reporting tools.
- Occasional travel for meetings and trainings, and regular travel in the market to service accounts and distributors.
- Must be able to travel via plane/train as needed.
- Must be a self-starter with strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships, initiate action, adjust to change, communicate effectively, and influence at all levels.
- Must be able to move up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods and work at a desk/personal computer for extended periods.
- Use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Climb or balance stairs/ladders.
