About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Inspect and improve retail execution in off-premise key accounts within a geographic territory
- Ensure execution quality complies with CBBD standards at key accounts
- Visit and review a rotating sample of key accounts based on sales goals
- Identify and correct execution issues involving planograms, mandates and authorizations
- Communicate execution issues to Market Development Managers and Key/National Sales Managers and ensure follow-up and resolution
- Share execution best practices with wholesalers
- Provide market intelligence to the Business Unit
- Support wholesaler training and development initiatives for local and regional chain accounts
- Identify market-specific business development opportunities
- Conduct market surveys during key promotional windows
- Collaborate with local wholesalers on CBBD programming and initiatives
- Execute new product rollout plans
- Identify challenges affecting new product introductions and recommend solutions
- Identify code-date and aging-inventory problems and recommend appropriate action
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience is required, ideally with emphasis on Sales and Marketing
- Proven track record in building good relationships with customers and internal associates
- Ability to take initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify needs and opportunities
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Cognos 7/8 and Retail Vision software
- Available to travel away from home a minimum of 20% of working time
- Two years professional experience and/or familiarity with consumer packaged goods or beverage industries preferred
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to achieve performance goals with minimal direction
- Strong math skills; ability to understand wholesaler margin, retailer cost of goods calculations and market discount structures
- Bilingual preferred
- Must be able to stand, walk and sit
- Must be able to move up to 55 lbs
- Ability to use hands, reach, climb or balance stairs/ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must have close vision, distant vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work on a computer for extended periods
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a car and travel via plane/train as needed
- Must be at least 21 years of age
