About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage project parameterization, budgeting, cost studies, and cost management, supporting land acquisition decisions for the company
- Prepare comprehensive construction cost estimates, taking into account materials, services, technical specifications, and company guidelines
- Liaise with designers (structural, foundation, and other disciplines) to clarify questions, align technical details, and obtain information required for cost composition
- Present analyses of actual costs, demonstrating variances, justifications, and financial impacts
- Collaborate with internal teams to align assumptions, obtain data, and develop cost estimates
- Obtain quotes for services and materials, ensuring price databases remain accurate and up to date
- Conduct quantity takeoffs when necessary, based on designs, specifications, and other technical documents
- Review designs to identify risks, opportunities, and technical consistency during the estimating stages
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning or Civil Engineering
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Experience preparing estimates for residential construction projects
- Knowledge of developing unit price compositions
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of BIM is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
