About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead deep dives into margin, costs, results, cash flow, and operational performance, formulating hypotheses and testing them against data
- Review and inventory existing reports and controls, including BI tools, spreadsheets, and departmental databases
- Identify what is already being measured, where gaps exist, and which analyses can be developed
- Build models and spreadsheets to structure analyses, including scenarios and simulations of their impact on results
- Discuss analyses with the responsible teams, challenge explanations, and develop action plans
- Present conclusions and recommendations to leadership, translating complex topics into clear, objective messages
- Propose the creation or adjustment of controls, routines, and KPIs
- Monitor the progress of action plans and the value actually captured
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience in financial and business analysis roles, such as FP&A, controllership, consulting, investment banking, equity research, or asset management
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance and financial statement analysis
- Familiarity with percentage-of-completion (PoC) revenue recognition and its effects on results, margins, and cash flow, or willingness to quickly develop expertise in the subject
- Advanced Excel skills (essential)
- Ability to structure analyses, develop and build robust spreadsheet models, and create scenarios
- Strong analytical skills and curiosity about the business
- Ability to structure problems, challenge assumptions, and understand how figures are generated throughout operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with different departments and levels of seniority
- Clear executive communication skills
- Autonomy to work in a developing function
- Experience incorporating AI into daily work (preferred)
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data manipulation tools (preferred)
