About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote a culture of identifying, measuring, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and mitigating risks that may affect Conta Simples
- Manage Internal Controls and Operational Risk impartially and efficiently, acting proactively and with credibility
- Identify, map, and assess processes with a focus on Internal Controls and Operational Risk, in accordance with the applicable methodology
- Assess processes to identify weaknesses and gaps, with a focus on operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the first line of defense (business areas)
- Monitor and update the Risk and Control Matrix and the team’s work tools
- Follow up on Action Plans based on identified risks
- Take a consultative approach, helping teams implement improvements and governance best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid senior-level experience in Internal Controls and Operational Risk
- Proven experience in the banking sector, fintechs, or institutions regulated by the Central Bank
- Hands-on experience mapping and remapping end-to-end processes and continuously monitoring Risk and Control Matrices
- Direct experience applying and conducting operational control compliance and effectiveness testing
- Strong knowledge of the COSO framework and familiarity with RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment) methodologies
- Strong logical reasoning, critical thinking, and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving and efficiency
- Excellent communication skills to align and engage business areas and leadership, building bridges to foster a risk-aware culture
- Knowledge of the SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) or COBIT framework
- Practical use of Generative AI tools in day-to-day work to automate processes
