About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and modify Health Information Exchange interfaces for the Contexture Health Information Exchange
- Develop HIE tools using C#, SQL, MongoDB, APIs and Web UIs
- Support development of new and existing Contexture solutions through all phases of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle
- Develop software to specified requirements using Agile methodologies
- Mentor and train Software Developers on tools, techniques and industry best practices
- Participate in design and technical requirement discussions for new products, projects and tools
- Evaluate new development tools and technologies for use within Contexture
- Establish and follow best practices for integrations and custom tools with the Manager, Development and other team members
- Collaborate with Operations, QA, Implementation and Project Managers throughout the SDLC
- Document technical specifications of developed solutions
- Perform peer code reviews
- Develop software across multiple platforms using security best practices
- Provide tier 3 support for post-production issues affecting Contexture and non-Contexture solutions and products
- Support after-hours deployments, changes or major incident response as applicable
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 7 years of object-oriented Software Development with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design
- Excellent understanding of XML/JSON
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing APIs and Web Services
- Excellent understanding of Git Version Control (GitHub) and branching strategies
- Experience in DevOps and release management
- Proficiency with MSSQL and NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB
- Experience with all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Self-driven approach to learning and skills development
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including communicating technical information to non-technical business users and customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- At least 5 years of C# development experience preferred
- At least 3 years using JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js and Nuxt preferred
- Agile development practices using JIRA
- Healthcare data standards knowledge, including HL7, CCDA, IHE and FHIR
- Understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure scaling
- Strong understanding of secure development practices
- Leadership experience in a collaborative team environment
- Unit testing development using XUnit and Playwright
- QA testing using Postman and Cypress
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology and Software Development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or another related field required; equivalent directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Local residency in Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; or Grand Junction, Colorado
- Ability to periodically drive to and from clients, conferences and/or events and/or undertake limited travel
- Ability to handle sensitive information including PHI, PII and financial information in compliance with applicable laws and policies
