About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate entitlements, permitting, and risk analysis for new multifamily development projects with estimated costs of approximately $70 million
- Obtain and review due diligence materials
- Prepare for and participate in negotiations directly with municipalities for required approvals
- Coordinate with land use attorneys, civil engineers, architects, local officials, community partners, landowners, and legal representatives
- Lead entitlement and permitting activities for 1–2 new multifamily developments
- Complete all due diligence responsibilities
- Participate in approval strategy, risk analysis, and mitigation for assigned projects
- Collaborate with internal development teams across legal, accounting, finance, construction, and property management
- Report to the Senior Development Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of relevant project management experience; this is not an entry-level role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Knowledge of zoning codes, municipal processes, and real estate terminology
- Understanding of due diligence reports, including wetlands and floodplains
- Must pass a post-offer criminal background check
