About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, supervise, review, and complete tax compliance work for a multiple-entity private equity firm
- Review taxable income analysis, investor allocations, and tax forms prepared by a third-party tax firm
- Ensure accurate partnership tax documents and compliance with federal, state, and local filing requirements
- Complete investor projections and compliance work, including direct contact with outside investors
- Assist with tax planning, estimating, and monitoring annual cash tax obligations
- Support federal and state audits and tax notices
- Oversee multiple-state compliance work and prepare fixed asset accounts
- Research tax issues and correspond with governmental agencies
- Participate in special projects and strategic tax initiatives
- Report to the Director of Tax Compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in partnership tax preparation with experience in real estate
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Strong Excel skills required
- Proficiency with Form 1065 and Schedule K-1 filings
- Experience with Form 1120S and Form 1040 appreciated but not required
- Experience with real estate or other fund structures across multiple states highly valued
- Experience with Power BI or 704(c) allocations valued as a differentiator
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency
- Must pass a post-offer criminal background check
- Must comply with applicable employment eligibility and fair employment requirements
