About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote and sell the portfolio of surgical products to achieve sales results, quotas/targets, and profitability goals
- Develop new target accounts, establish new business, and increase sales of current accounts
- Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly action plans
- Analyze territory performance, sales, and reports to identify account needs
- Discuss territory issues with the Regional Sales Manager or Area Sales Director
- Identify, prioritize, pull through, and close opportunities
- Ensure effective product utilization by trained Health Care Professionals within the assigned territory
- Network and build relationships across operating rooms, nursing units, physician offices, care coordinators, cath labs, labor and delivery, and other care settings
- Build territory strategy using gathered market and account information
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company products, channels, and distribution methods
- Articulate the company’s evidence-based value proposition and demonstrate clinical understanding of targeted surgical procedures
- Optimize educational and KOL events, including trade shows, OR department presentations, and educational meals
- Develop and cultivate Key Opinion Leader relationships
- Keep the Regional Sales Manager informed of territory progress
- Manage calendar planning and time effectively
- Attend national, regional, and local meetings as required and represent ConvaTec professionally
- Adhere to travel, compliance, Standards of Business Conduct & Ethics, and relevant industry Codes of Practice
- Build productive customer relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Travel approximately 50%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Two plus years’ experience in Medical Sales required in a complex selling environment
- Demonstrated success in highly competitive, aggressive, growth sales environment preferred
- Experience selling in Operating Room (OR) or surgical experience preferred
- Documented history of sales success with stack rankings, awards
- Experience selling through distributors is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams etc.)

- May have to work evenings & weekends
- Normal hearing, visual acuity and manual dexterity are required
- Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy objects sometimes weighing up to forty (40) pounds
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory area
