About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Promote and sell ConvaTec’s portfolio of surgical products within the assigned territory
  • Understand the competitive landscape to achieve sales results, quotas/targets, and profitability goals
  • Develop new target accounts, establish new business, and increase sales in current accounts
  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly action plans
  • Analyze territory performance, sales, and reports to identify account needs
  • Identify, prioritize, pull through, and close opportunities
  • Ensure effective utilization of products by trained Health Care Professionals
  • Build relationships across operating rooms, nursing units, physician offices, care coordinators, cath labs, labor and delivery, and other care settings
  • Maintain knowledge of company products, channels, and distribution methods
  • Explain clinical evidence and the evidence-based value proposition
  • Demonstrate clinical understanding of targeted surgical procedures
  • Optimize educational and KOL events, including trade shows, OR presentations, and educational meals
  • Develop and cultivate Key Opinion Leader relationships
  • Keep the Regional Sales Manager informed of territory progress
  • Plan calendars and manage time effectively
  • Attend national, regional, and local meetings as required
  • Represent ConvaTec professionally at scheduled meetings
  • Adhere to travel, compliance, business conduct, ethics, and relevant industry code policies
  • Travel approximately 50%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Two plus years’ experience in Medical Sales required in a complex selling environment
  • Demonstrated success in highly competitive, aggressive, growth sales environment preferred
  • Experience selling in Operating Room (OR) or surgical experience preferred
  • Documented history of sales success with stack rankings and awards
  • Experience selling through distributors preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong learning agility and hunter mentality
  • Ability to network effectively at all levels
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and manage multiple call points
  • Positive attitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills through MS Teams/Zoom and in person
  • Normal hearing, visual acuity, and manual dexterity required
  • Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory area
  • May have to work evenings and weekends
