About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on banking security equipment
- Support physical security and drive-through lanes, security cameras, access control, alarm systems, drive-up equipment, vaults, safe deposit boxes, and ATMs
- Install equipment and service/support existing customers by responding to service calls
- Install, repair, rebuild, and service remote drive-up systems, audio, and video equipment
- Handle locking mechanisms including drawer locks, vaults, secure keyways, and banking-specific systems
- Install, program, test, repair, and service electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Install, configure, and support network systems and equipment as assigned
- Mentor less experienced staff using technical knowledge and experience
- Handle moderately complex installations, including alert systems, final connections, testing, and training
- Respond to scheduled maintenance, emergency, and after-hours service calls
- Identify project challenges and assist with strategies to minimize cost and deadline deviations
- Inspect completed work for specifications, requirements, and manufacturer compliance
- Estimate cost, time, and materials for replacement equipment
- Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment
- Use troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix malfunctioning equipment or software systems
- Collaborate with team members to improve operations
- Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, standards, and product improvements
- Present a professional image and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of drive-up, locking, and electronic systems specific to the banking industry
- Basic knowledge of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) connected to the remote system
- Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be skilled in at least one specialization: locksmiths, drive-up, or electronic security
- Technical diploma and/or equivalent trade experience (e.g. Electrician) preferred but not required
- 1 year of previous technician experience within a commercial, industrial, or facilities operation setting preferred but not required
- Experience in one or more of: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation preferred but not required
- Ability to comply with State and local regulations, best practices, and company health and safety policies
