About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on banking security equipment
  • Install equipment and service/support existing customers by responding to service calls
  • Install, repair, rebuild, and service remote drive-up systems, audio, and video equipment
  • Handle locking mechanisms including drawer locks, vaults, secure keyways, and other banking systems
  • Install, program, test, repair, and service electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Configure and support network systems and equipment for assigned projects
  • Install new units with final connections, testing, and training
  • Respond to customer service, scheduled maintenance, emergency, and after-hours service calls
  • Identify project challenges and assist with strategies to minimize cost and deadline deviations
  • Inspect completed work for specifications, requirements, and manufacturer compliance
  • Estimate cost, time, and materials for replacement equipment
  • Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment or software systems
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Communicate with team members to improve operations
  • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, standards, and product improvements
  • Execute work according to regulations, best practices, and company health and safety policies
  • Present a professional image and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School/GED or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of drive-up, locking, and electronic systems specific to the banking industry
  • Basic knowledge of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) connected to the remote system
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills

  • Adaptability
  • Preferred but not required: technical diploma and/or equivalent trade experience (e.g. Electrician)
  • Preferred but not required: 1 year of previous technician experience within a commercial, industrial, or facilities operation setting
  • Preferred but not required: experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation industries
