About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on banking security equipment, including security cameras, access control, alarm systems, banking drive-up equipment, vaults, safe deposit boxes, and ATMs
  • Install equipment and service/support existing customers by responding to service calls
  • Install, program, test, repair, and service non-routine drive-up, locksmith, and electronic systems and equipment
  • Install, configure, and support network systems and equipment for assigned projects
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Mentor less experienced staff using technical knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Handle moderately complex installations, including alert systems, final connections, testing, and training
  • Respond promptly to customer service, scheduled maintenance, emergency, and after-hours service calls
  • Identify project challenges, communicate them to appropriate parties, and assist with strategies to minimize cost and deadline deviations
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements, and manufacturer specifications
  • Estimate cost, time, and materials for replacement equipment
  • Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment
  • Execute work in accordance with state/local regulations, best practices, and company health and safety policies
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment or software systems
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to improve operations
  • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, standards, and product improvements
  • Maintain current knowledge of company policies and present a professional image

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School/GED or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years in electronic security industry
  • Previous construction experience including some level of electrical or a low voltage background
  • CT Journeyman / Low Voltage License
  • RI alarm system license
  • Working knowledge of drive-up, locking, and electronic systems specific to the banking industry
  • Basic knowledge of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) connected to the remote system
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician) preferred
  • Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation preferred
  • Experience with Axis / Bosch / DMP / Lenel / Software House preferred
  • Project Management Institute (PMI); industry-specific certifications and/or Convergint certifications/licenses
