About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and define the K-12 market strategy, including target sub-verticals, customer segments, solution focus, and partner ecosystem
- Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned to Convergint’s growth objectives and investment priorities
- Lead, coach, and develop Vertical Market Managers; establish operating rhythms and performance expectations
- Act as the senior leader and subject matter authority for the K-12 vertical with customers, partners, and industry associations
- Align Sales, Service Operations, Enablement, Marketing, Finance, and CTC leadership around the K-12 vertical strategy
- Guide differentiated solution and bundle development addressing critical customer outcomes
- Support high-impact, complex opportunities through executive-level engagement and strategic deal guidance
- Define and track vertical-level KPIs including revenue growth, margin, pipeline health, wallet share, and market expansion
- Provide regular executive updates on vertical performance, risks, and opportunities
- Influence strategic direction, investment decisions, and execution across the organization
- Attend virtual team meetings, vertical leadership calls, and regional planning sessions
- Travel for in-person enablement sessions, client events, strategic meetings, and national industry forums
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Business, technology, engineering, or vertically relevant field preferred
- 10+ years in technology, security, or vertically aligned industries
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles with responsibility for strategy, revenue growth, and people leadership
- Proven success building and scaling K-12 market strategies across distributed sales organizations
- Executive-level vertical market leadership and credibility
- Deep understanding of customer business drivers, regulatory environments, and market dynamics
- Strong business acumen with a balance of strategy, execution, and financial performance
- Strong understanding of security, life safety, and vertically relevant technologies
- Ability to translate complex market insights into scalable strategies and programs
- Executive communication skills across written, presentation, and interpersonal settings
- Strategic, visionary leadership; influential collaboration within a matrixed organization; results orientation and accountability
- Up to 50% travel
- U.S. work context supporting U.S.-based CTCs and vertical sales teams
