About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the restaurant with focus on people, hospitality, and business performance
Lead visibly from the floor, engage with guests, coach the team in real time, and set hospitality standards
Own the guest experience, resolve concerns, and turn service recovery into guest loyalty
Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and retain team members
Build a culture of accountability, recognition, development, and hospitality
Own restaurant operations across opening, service, and closing
Maintain standards for food safety, quality, cleanliness, and compliance
Own financial performance using P&L, sales trends, labor, COGS, inventory, and other metrics
Manage food costs and inventory while addressing waste, variances, ordering opportunities, and inefficiencies
Partner with leadership to forecast needs, set priorities, and translate financial goals into team actions
Balance immediate restaurant needs with long-term team development and business health
Participate in the virtual open house to meet the team, explore leadership opportunities, and potentially interview

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant, hospitality group or comparable restaurant environment
Experienced Assistant General Managers or senior restaurant leaders with significant people, operational, and financial ownership may be considered for a General Manager role
Genuine passion for hospitality and ability to lead with energy, empathy, accountability, and vision
Track record of building strong restaurant cultures
Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams
Proven track record of driving business results while maintaining high standards for hospitality, service, food quality, and guest satisfaction
P&L ownership and financial acumen, including forecasting, labor management, COGS, inventory, and profitability improvement
Leadership style balancing hands-on floor presence with strategic thinking
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
NYC Food Handlers License is required
Proficiency in Spanish, French, and/or Arabic is a plus
