About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a defined Northern Colorado sales territory and drive growth of CooperVision’s contact lens portfolio
  • Build and maintain relationships with optometrists, ophthalmologists, practice managers, and office staff
  • Penetrate new accounts and grow sales across all distribution channels
  • Meet and exceed territory sales quotas
  • Maintain a territory call cycle with approximately 5–7 pre-set appointments per workday
  • Respond to customer phone and email inquiries within 24 hours
  • Use consultative selling to understand customer needs, assess accounts, and recommend products
  • Formulate and execute call cycle plans and prepare account business plans with the Regional Director
  • Develop new business within the geographic territory
  • Maintain technical proficiency with CooperVision and competitive products
  • Monitor industry trends and Health Product Research data
  • Educate customers on CooperVision products and sell value-added products and services
  • Develop and monitor customer marketing plans and promotions for return on investment
  • Use Microsoft Office and CRM reports to analyze product, account sales, and territory growth
  • Participate in state and regional optical shows when requested
  • Submit call, expense, ROI, and other administrative reports on time
  • Manage diagnostic contact lens sets at customer locations
  • Travel within the territory approximately 80% of the time and outside the territory 10–15% for conferences, trainings, and regional meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Required to reside in the assigned Northern Colorado territory or within a reasonable distance
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make presentations to various sized customer groups
  • Proficiency with MS Suite
  • Experience with CRM systems including Salesforce, Tableau, and Showpad
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs while installing, removing, and transporting diagnostic contact lens sets
  • 4+ years of B2B sales experience in any industry
  • Experience exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of direct related experience (high school + 8 years or similar)
  • Passing of a background check, which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational and motor vehicle records
  • Valid driver’s license, minimum required insurance coverage, and satisfactory driving record
