About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, model, and continuously enhance the data architecture across core systems, data warehouses, and connected surrounding systems
Analyze the existing data landscape and develop a target architecture, including a roadmap for phased implementation
Define, maintain, and continuously enhance business and logical data models
Ensure a consistent data foundation across all relevant systems
Design and optimize data flows, integrations, and interfaces, including ETL/ELT, APIs, messaging, and batch integration
Work closely with business units to gather requirements and derive solutions for data models, data quality, and reporting and analytics needs
Contribute to the development and enhancement of data governance, data quality, and metadata management structures
Support architecture-related topics in the area of application architecture
Contribute to strategic data and digitalization initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience as a Data Architect or in a comparable role, ideally in banking or financial services
Strong knowledge of data modeling, such as relational, dimensional, and Data Vault modeling, as well as modern data warehouse and CRM architectures
Experience with database technologies, integration concepts, and interface architectures
Practical experience designing and implementing modern data platforms, along with an interest in advanced analytics and AI use cases
Good knowledge of data governance, data quality, data privacy, and IT security, preferably in regulated environments
Experience with architecture and modeling tools, such as Enterprise Architect, is an advantage
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
Fluent German and very good English skills
